Pregnancy Journal

Do you know that after a few years of delivering your bundle of joy, you are hardly going to remember how you felt during pregnancy? Yes, it's true! And that's why we suggest you start writing a pregnancy journal. This is a great way to treasure your priceless memories. It's a good exercise too. It keeps your muscles active and your gray cells stimulated.
How To Keep A Pregnancy Journal

The first thing to remember while keeping a journal is to shed your shyness while expressing your feelings. Write as you feel. You don't have to be a great writer to keep a journal. There are so many moments to write about; starting from the first sign of pregnancy to the final stage when you will be eagerly waiting for your baby to arrive. Capture these moments into your pregnancy journal. Imagine the joy you will feel reading the journal later in life!
"Was It Really Like That?"

When you read your pregnancy journal after several years, you will gleefully ask; "was it really like that?" there are loads of memories to cherish: the days when you wanted to munch on food the whole day; the glow on your face when the doctor confirmed your pregnancy; your partner's compliment on seeing your new figure! Don't forget those unpleasant things too; the bouts of depression, bursts of tears, tantrums, morning sickness, and occasional uneasiness you felt while sitting or walking with a large tummy.

As you keep track of your pregnancy week by week, write down in your pregnancy journal about the knowledge that you gained. This will help you a great deal in your next pregnancy. Although, not all consecutive pregnancies are the same, however, you can still refer your journal to release your stress or anxiety in your next pregnancy. You can recall those moments of joy, not mentioning those moments when you were quite worried and found out that it was simply unnecessary! Besides this, you can keep a tab on your pregnancy health by keeping a pregnancy journal. As you write about each moment, you can know what you ate, how much you exercised, and how you felt each day of your pregnancy.

And last but not the least, let your partner read your journal everyday so that he gets a feel of the changes happening inside you. He will understand you better and be more involved in preparing for fatherhood. Your partner's role is quite significant during pregnancy. Get him spend more time with you and your growing baby. Decorate your baby's room together; go out for shopping with him; and, when you retire for bed, pen down all these wonderful moments in your journal. This is sheer bliss!
